RODENTS

We have general rules for accommodation sizes for rabbits, guinea pigs and rodents. We do work with people to achieve the best for animals in the cheapest way.

For rabbits hutch and runs must be connected and run size no smaller than 6ft x 4ft for one rabbit of a small breed and 6ft x 6ft for two small breeds. the hutch size depends on the rabbit and the size of the exercise run, but usually 4ft long is the smallest.

Guinea pigs generally 4ftx4ft run and a 4ft hutch is the smallest sizes for 1-2 guinea pigs.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE BIGGER THE BETTER!!

Quinton

Quinton is one of a litter of five who is looking for a new home. He needs a home with either an female g-pig or with a litter mate or two. He is neutered. They were born on 29/10/11. They would be suitable to live in a home with children. Like all our g-pigs they would require a hutch with run attached. Contact the sanctuary for more size advise.

Taylor came in with sister MooShoe because their owner was unable to keep them. They are a friendly pair who currently live in the ferret fun house and share boyfriend Theo. A playful pair who love lots to do.

Theo is an adult neutered male. He came into the sanctuary after he owner developed an allergy to him. A friendly boy who is living with two females Taylor and MooShoe. A lively boy who likes lots of space to play in.

Hercules, Samson And Gladiator

A friendly trio. Hercules, Samson and Gladiator are adult male rats. Big boys who require a large living area. They enjoy tasty treats and like to be nosey at what is going on around them.

Poppet, Stumpy & Dave

Poppet, Stumpy and Dave are 3 degus who are looking for a home together. They are fantasic fun to watch but do require strict diet. Their living area needs to be a minimum of 6ft by 3ft by 2ft which is what they have at the sanctuary. Their natural habbit is desert areas so sand baths are required.
