Woodside often rescues ex-battery hens whenever we have space, however they often they need many months of treatment and specialist care to get them back to good health. Once they have recovered well, the new additions can be carefully introduced to our established group of hens. Our chickens can often be seen roaming around the site in the daytime and making dust baths, with a few of the braver hens attempting to raid our staff’s cars!
