Jago

Say hello to our super-snuggler Jago.
Jago is a handsome Cane Corso who loves cuddles with people he knows and will snuggle on your lap – usually snoring!
Due to his ears and tail being cropped, 2-year-old Jago can look quite scary. But actually he’s a sensitive soul who’s frightened by loud noises and unfamiliar people and situations, and needs time, reassurance and lots of love to help build his confidence.
When he first arrived here, Jago was reluctant to leave the safety of his kennels – taking days to build up the confidence to step outside.
He’s formed a close bond with his carers here and enjoys spending time with them. Out in the fields, Jago’s a different dog – loving the freedom to play and race around doing zoomies.
Jago is happy to walk with other dogs and out and about will ignore others that pass.
He was brought to the sanctuary because he was being protective of another dog in the house and would be best as the only pet in an adult-only home.
Jago will need a strong, understanding owner who will spend time getting to know him at the sanctuary and help him overcome his fears.
