Being parted from her favourite person has been unsettling for 9-year-old Ella.
She was brought to the sanctuary when her owner’s ill health meant they could no longer look after her.
Described as quiet and friendly in her previous home, her carers here have struggled to get close to Ella, who is quite frightened and unpredictable.
Staff and volunteers are taking the time to get to know her and hope that, once in her new home, she’ll relax and settle once more.
Ella will need access to the outdoors and understanding owners who’ll give her time and space. She has lived with dogs before but cannot live with cats or children.
