Reason for coming in for rehoming: Bear was too much for the owner
Bear is a handsome chap, who is very friendly once he gets to know you. He can be reactive towards other dogs, vehicles and bicycles- all of which we are trying to slowly introduce him to here at the sanctuary. Bear’s recall isn’t very good at the moment, we are working with him daily, in our fully enclosed fields, to improve this.
Bear will need an owner who is patient and has plenty of time to continue his training, and work with him to reduce his reactivity. Having previously had 3 homes, we are now looking for his forever home, where he will get the continued training that he needs and slow introduction to socialisation. We do not feel that he would be suitable for a first time dog owner, due to his behaviour. He has previously lived in the Exeter, Manadon and Gulworthy areas, so can not be rehomed back to these areas.
