What a beautiful boy Benji is! Border Collie Benji is a lovable, loyal dog who forms a close bond with his special person.
He can get anxious when left, so will need a home where there is someone around for most of the day who’ll slowly build up the time he’s left.
Four-year-old Benji is very clever and loves going out on adventures but can be reactive to some dogs out and about. He’s a typical Collie who’ll lay down and stare at dogs as they go past and, if not prevented, he’ll bark and react.
This is something we’re working on at the sanctuary, and this training will need to continue in Benji’s new home.
Benji is wary of strangers and takes time getting to know you. But, once he does, he’s an affectionate boy who gets excited to see you.
He hasn’t lived with children before and we feel an adult-only home in a quieter location will be best for Benji.
Benji needs a strong, experienced Collie owner who knows how to keep both his mind and body active and occupied, as he will shadow chase.
Benji cannot live with cats as he’s terrified of them and tries to hide!
