Ghost is a deaf 2 year old Collie x Beagle, we communicate with her through the use of signs. She knows her basic commands such as sit, down, stop/wait, bed, middle, good etc. She is keen to learn and does pick things up quickly. We are looking for an owner experienced with working with/training deaf dogs.
Ghost can be reactive with other dogs, unless she is focusing on her handler and then offered a treat. She can can not live with children under the age of 16, and can not live with cats. She is an anxious girl, who will need a lot of time spent with her to work on her training and to help her gain confidence.
Ghost was brought into the sanctuary as she was not getting on with the other dog in the home, and her reactivity towards other dogs and some people when on lead walks was becoming too much. We are currently working with Ghost here at the sanctuary to overcome these behavioural issues, she loves to play ball in our fields and is very good at bringing it back. She is also very affectionate with those she trusts and loves to have a cuddle and some attention
