Cane Corso Jago is a sensitive soul who is struggling with life here at the sanctuary.
Despite his appearance, two-year-old Jago is easily spooked by noises and unfamiliar situations and needs time and reassurance to help him overcome his worries.
When he first arrived at Woodside, Jago was reluctant to leave the safety of his kennels – taking days to build up the confidence to step outside.
He’s bonding with his carers here and enjoys having a cuddle with them. Out in the fields, Jago’s unrecognisable from the shutdown dog we see in the kennels – loving the freedom to play and race around doing zoomies.
Jago was brought to the sanctuary because he was being protective of another dog in the house.
He has been happy to walk with other dogs here but would prefer to be the only pet in an adult-only home. Jago will need a strong, understanding owner who will show him the time and love he needs to overcome his fears.
