Max

Max is a 3 year old Pomski, he is an intelligent boy who enjoys learning, and loves to be around people he knows and trusts. Max is initially nervous when meeting new people, and sometimes that can result in reactive behaviour, but we are able to work with him to slowly introduce him to people he doesn’t know. Max is very playful he loves to play with a ball in the field, and go on long walks in the woods, especially if there is mud involved! He enjoys spending time in our ‘mock room’ having cuddles with our staff and regular volunteer dog walkers. He is a particular favourite of one of our long term dog walkers, who spends a lot of time with him, working on his training and has previously taken him away from the sanctuary for day trips.

Max does have separation anxiety, so is looking for a home where the owner is home for most of the day. A home in a quieter area would be most suitable for him, as he is currently undergoing training due to his reaction towards other dogs and people.  He will also need to be muzzled at all times when outside. Max is looking for a home with no other pets or children.   Any new potential owners would need to be prepared to come to the sanctuary to meet Max, on quite a few occasions, in order to build a relationship with him before adoption. We would also ask for the new owners to be keen to continue his training to help benefit Max in the future.
