Young Lurcher Oakley is a people pleaser who loves cuddles and attention.
This sweet, sensitive boy is super-friendly and, at just one-years-old, is full of character and fun to be around. Yet he’s had little interest from potential adopters.
Oakley is at his happiest around people, so is finding kennel life particularly difficult. In his new home, he’ll need someone around for much of the day, who’ll gradually build up the time he’s left.
Oakley originally came to the sanctuary as a puppy, after being found dumped in the woods alongside his sibling. Sadly, things didn’t work out with his first adoption and now he’s back searching for his forever home.
Oakley has lived with children before but is bouncy and boisterous, so we feel it best that any children in his new home are aged 10+.
He’s generally good with dogs but can be a little nervous around large breeds and boisterous around smaller ones, and would prefer to be the only dog in his new home.
Typical of his breed, Oakley has a high prey drive and cannot live with cats.
