Paul and Linda McTurkey

Paul and Linda McTurkey are the resident two turkeys who arrived in November 2020. They came in after their owner feared that when rehoming someone might have them as a Christmas dinner rather than pets.

Once used to the environment they were introduced to our other livestock groups. They share a field with our four resident goats the hillbillies.

They normally have freedom of the sanctuary during the day and are shut in at night for their safety. Sadly, with current cases of avian flu the have to stay in their large run at present but will be back out as soon as the restrictions are lifted.

They love their food, especially treats of grapes and lettuce. They are the best of buddies and are always with one another.
