Sam is a 18 month old tabby/white domestic short haired male looking for an understanding quite home.
Sam came into us after being abandoned, he was stated to have bonded strongly with his previously owner and love a cuddle.
Sam has found coming into a cattery quite stressful and has tried to scare staff off with hissing and the occassional swat. Our cattery staff know that he doesn’t mean this and he is just finding this new world a little scary, so a plan was made that specific staff work with Sam daily to build a bond with him and help him understand that the world isn’t so scary after all. These staff members have seen improvements in Sam with this consistent routine and he has started to accept their company and will watch from a distance what they are up too and will sometimes come up to greet them when they arrive.
We feel Sam would benefit in a quiet home with only 1 or 2 people who will be able to give him dedicated time to settle in and re bond with his human after his trust in humans has been broken. He would need a home without other pets.
