Scatts

Scatts

REGISTERING INTEREST

Scatts is a 3 year old retired racing greyhound, he is a lovely boy who enjoys any human attention.

He isn't very keen on other male dogs and will give a growl if they get too close to him.

Scatts came into the sanctuary in a poor condition and had lots of sores and wounds all over him, these are now healing and he is gaining weight and some of his fur is starting to grow back.

He would not be suitable to live with small furries.

Bear

Bear

NOT FOR HOMING - ON TREATMENT FOR HIP DISPLASIA

Bear is a German Shepard cross Springer and he is approximately 2 years of age.  He has a lot of energy typical of the Springer breed so is looking for a home where he has plenty of enrichment training to keep his mind occupied.

Bear is a very friendly boy towards people he meets and is very sociable with dogs out and about.  We are not sure how he would be around a cat, he may possibly be okay if the cat stands it ground.  He can live with children over the age of twelve years.

Bear does have seperation anxiety so ideally would need a home where his owner would be home most of the time.

Bear does have mild hip dysplacia and is on lead walks only to build up his muscles.  Staff are currently doing some physiotherapy with him which is really helping to build up muscle.  Bear will never be able to cope with long walks, or be able to be let off the lead, as this could set his hip dysplacia back. He may need pain relief later in life.

Bronson

Bronson

NOT FOR HOMING - MEDICAL ASSESSMENT

Bronson is a very handsome Boxer x Bulldog. He is an 18 month old, excitable boy.

He is an all round good dog, and loves other dogs.  He can be boisterous at times so for that reason we have put an age restriction of 10+ with children.

Bronson needs to be the only pet in the home.  We do not feel he can live with cats as he shows a very keen interest in our resident cats.

He came to us due to his owners change of circumstance.

New owners will need to be aware that Bronsons exercise will need to be limited as he does suffer from cruciate problems.  He has been treated at the sanctuary for straining the cruciate and although much better, he will always have a weakness there.  Exercise will need to be on lead and off lead will need to closely supervised.  Running around in a park with other dogs could cause him to become to excited and cause harm.

Loki

Loki

Can you help our boy Loki?  He has been with us now for a year and a half. He is seven years old now and really deserves to find a loving home of his own.

We would like him to go to a rural area as he came to us because he had started howling when his female owner left the family home, this was even when he had the company of another dog.

Loki is on a medicated diet for life due to a health condition.

CURRENTLY NOT FOR HOMING
