Koda

Koda

Koda is a German Sheperd cross Malamute who is looking for an experienced owner. Sadly he has spent a lot of his life being confined to a crate which has caused him to suffer from arthritis in his spine.  He currently requires no medication but this could change as he gets older.

Koda will need an adult only home with no other pets although he is good with other dogs when out on his walks.   He is a lovely boy who is loved by all the staff that care for him.

Koda has huge potential but just needs an owner who can guide him on how to behave at times.  Due to him being crated a lot in the past and now having more freedom staff feel he may show guarding traits when going into a home he is unsure of. This of course is something the new owner would need to be aware of and possibly train him out of.

Koda wil need to be adopted locally to the Sanctuary so that we can support new owners if needed. This beautiful boy so deserves a loving home where he will be treated as one of the family.

Please contact the Sanctuary for more information.

Luna

Luna

Luna is a medium sized long coated collie cross and is 2 years old. She is house trained and can be left for under an hour.

Luna must be the only pet in the home and needs a very experienced owner. She craves attention constantly and can get quite jealous. We want her to go to an adult only home.

Luna is stressed in her kennel and this has presented itself in some naughty behaviour.

If you think you have what it takes to give this gorgeous girl a home then you will be rewarded with lots of love.

Please ask for Jess or Aimee

Yuko

Yuko

Yuko is a 9 month old Lurcher cross Malinois who is looking for an adult only experienced owner. Due to a poor start in life he is lacking many social skills that a dog of his age should have.  Sadly he is also one of four of the same litter to find themselves in a rescue home.

He isn't good with cats or small furries but does like dogs, although can't live with another. We are socialising him with dogs as he still is unsure of how he should behave in social situations. He has no idea of the correct way to deal with his emotions and this is not going to be a quick fix. At the moment he deals with his emotions by mouthing his handler, which is unsatisfactory.

Yuko does suffer with seperation anxiety and needs someone who has the time and patience to work with him.

Yuko is asking for a lot we know, but we are sure that in time he can find his way.  With the right owner who has lots of time and patience Yuko will reward with all his love.

Rolo

Rolo

Rolo is a male 3 year old Husky x Springer who is looking for an adult only home with someone who has had past experience of owning a difficult dog.

Rolo will guard his toys, especially balls and new owners will need to be aware of this.

Rolo has a very high prey drive and does intensely dislike other dogs and animals.  He will need to be muzzled on all walks and could only be let off in a secure field, such as Paws At The Junction.  Owners will need to carefully judge where and when he is walked in order for both walker and dog to have the best experience.

We are looking to home Rolo locally to the Sanctuary so that we can provide support if needed.

For more information please call the Sanctuary to speak to Jess or Aimee.

Tyler

Tyler

Retired racer Tyler is looking for his first real home. He has just turned four years. He has been with us quite a long time now and we would love for him to find his own home and family.

He is a very sweet natured boy who enjoys a cuddle and he has been very good with children he has met when out on his walks. He is however a very greedy dog and will snatch food out of hands or off counter tops so he can only live with children over the age of ten years.  [ We wouldnt want him grabbing food from a young child.]

Most greyhounds have a high prey drive, this means they will look to chase any small animal. For this reason Tyler cannot live with cats or small furries and he would always need to wear a muzzle when out on walks. [ which he is quite happy to do.]

Tyler does have an autoimmune disorder which affects his nails. We have now got this under control but his new owners would need to monitor and we would continue to help with further treatment if he had another flare up.

He will not require a lot of exercise and is just looking for a warm friendly lap to call his own.

Loki

Loki

Loki is a 6 year old Malamute. He came in very overweight,so we are slowly building his exercise up. He is looking for experienced owners in his breed. He can be very stubborn at times and talkative but once you get past that he is such a lovable boy.

He came in due to howling in the home after the female partner had left, despite having another dog for company. We have noticed at the sanctuary that he is very vocal and once everyone has gone home he will howl.  Due to this behaviour he would not be suitable to live in a built up area or in a terraced house.  His seperation anxiety would cause problems for neighbours.

Needs an adult only home which is child and pet free.

Please call the sanctuary for more details.
